July Golf at Goodwood

Once again an Amiri event was blessed with stunning weather and the team at "Golf at Goodwood" made sure that everything else reached the usual high standards. With a prize for the best Stapleford points score in the year there was keen but friendly rivalry among the 6 guests and 2 hosts. It was of little surprise to see club member and director of HNW Architects Ken Watson take the honours this time around with a fantastic 40 points. He also used his course knowledge to win the "closest to the pin" challenge, although an effort from Gary Rumbell of C&G Properties with his blue wonderball came very close. Philip Piper of Winchester based Piper Whitlock Architects took the longest drive competition up the final fairway.
Emmaus in HDA Awards 2010

Great to see that the Emmaus Hampshire community scheme, completed last year, was shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards 2010. Whilst obviously disappointed not to win in the "completed projects" section we, along with architects Pope Priestley, are delighted to have seen something outside of the "norm" recognised in the awards. Amiri Mermaid Challenge 2010

The 4th June saw the Amiri fleet set sail around the waters of Seaview Yacht Club on the Isle of Wight for our annual Mermaid Challenge. With stunning weather, good breeze and the excellent Seaview hospitality, 30 of our closest clients and consultants were able to compete over four races (one discard) for the prizes. Winners this year were Andy Fitzgerald, Steve Miles and Jeremy Sayer. Western Avenue, Poole won

On the 19th July Amiri Construction will take possession of a site in Western Avenue, Poole and demolish the existing house and replace it with a stunning, 5 bedroom detached house with internal swimming pool, integral garages and a landscaping scheme all designed by Evans Traves LLP. The £1.6m house will be complete in August 2011 and ready for the owners to delight in. Align Property and Construction are the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors and Smith Foster the Structural Engineers.
