This time at Southampton Solent University where we will be carrying out £500k worth of remodelling of teaching space over the Summer break. Works start in late June and finish at the end of August.

Hot on the heels of the notification of Constructionline approval comes the news that Amiri Construction has achieved the standards required by the Contractors Health and safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS). This is yet more recognition of the robustness of our policies, procedures and our the consistent quality of the implementation of them.

Basepoint Winchester starts!

Amiri Construction has begun work to provide 25,000sqft of flexible, modern business space in suites from 150sqft to 600 sqft for Basepoint Winchester. As with all Basepoint Centres there will be all the support services, break-out areas, meeting rooms and facilities for the on-site Basepoint management team. The design and build project is worth £1.95m, will complete in early 2010 and combines a refurbishment of the existing tired warehouse space with an extension to provide to a top quality working environment.

The last two weeks have seen the award of not one but two "Performance Beyond Compliance" certificates from the Considerate Contractors Scheme. The site management teams at Emmaus, led by Vernon Baker, and Tilford and Broadmede Houses, Farnham, led by Phil Cousens have both been rewarded for exceeding the standards required for Consideration, Environment, Cleanliness, Good Neighbour, Respect, Safety, Responsibiliy and Accountability. Well done to those teams and to Vernon and Phil.
