Project number One! Having been established in February 2005, Amiri Construction were delighted to be asked to construct the new library and classrooms for Chafyn Grove School.

Having worked with the Mancon team on a number of different projects whilst at other companies, Amiri Construction management were delighted that Mancon were confident enough in our abilities, despite our newness, to ask us to tender for the work.

Working in school environments always means that special consideration must be given to ensuring that the pupils are not disrupted in any way and this project was no different. It was the previous experience of the management team of Amiri Construction at this type of work that gave the client confidence in the consultants’ team’s judgement.

This project, located in the very centre of the school campus involved the demolition of an existing building before constructing the new state of the art library and classrooms. Careful planning of deliveries, workforce access, protecting the environment around the project and the minimising of disruption to the day to day running of the school was essential. Work was to finish before the examination season and we were delighted to successfully hand the project over on time and see the pupils take advantage of the new resource centre.
