Premier Marinas, one of the leading operators in the leisure marine sector, chose Amiri Construction to update and upgrade the facilities offered to the businesses, berth-holders and visitors on their Chichester Marina site. With many of the on-site businesses operating, in true marine industry fashion, out of containers, jack-leg cabins and similar temporary accommodation Premier Marinas were keen to offer these better accommodation out of which they could provide both a better service and a more hospitable environment to the 1,000+ berth-holders as well as the visitors that this flagship south coast marina attracts. There are four timber framed buildings arranged in an L-shaped development formed around the crane lift and boatyard areas. A new chandlery, rigging shop and boat repair shed forming a significant part of the development and being shaped around the boatyard it means that there is minimum movement of boats or parts requiring attention. One unit contains a reinforced floor to cope with outboard engine hoists so that even a 300hp engine (250-300kg) can be lifted and worked on in safety. A number of units include mezzanine floors to increase flexibility of use of the floor area as well as office space. The development also includes a licensed café/restaurant, well-stocked Marine Super Store chandlery and a Coastal and Outdoor Living clothing store. There are also new and used boat sales offices in the boatyard complex.
