Phoenix House, Botleigh Grange, Hedge End

Phoenix House is a 23,500sqft design and build office scheme on this prestigious and popular office campus on the outskirts of Southampton.

Amiri Construction’s involvement began very early when we worked with the developer to create a cost plan that enabled the best possible deal to be done for the site. The introduction of a new design team and skilful negotiation with the existing occupiers of the adjacent building and the planning authority meant that the building was able to be moved slightly and increased in size, offering more to the marketplace.

More proactive design saw the frame size reduced and a ground treatment solution that quickly improved both the site and the extra car parking that we had to make available to the existing occupiers of the campus.

A ground source heat pump was also installed under the new area of car parking to provide sustainable heating to one of the office buildings.

Successfully delivered in early 2009, Phoenix House was an immediate hit with the market and was occupied very shortly after completion.
