This traditionally procured project had a client and consultant team that were receptive to alternative construction process and detail proposals in order to make the project more commercially acceptable.
Two different blocks with four trade units in each were created. One was new build, the other refurbished and re-clad utilising an existing steel frame from a building on site.
As befitted the site on a “gateway” entrance to Chichester the architect had created a stunning contemporary design and this was executed superbly by the supply chain partners selected for the scheme. Letting and occupation has been excellent and this has generated interest in a further two phases.
