Responsibility

Grahame has overall responsibility for ensuring that Amiri Construction continues to deliver it’s aim of being the best regional contracting business with a culture and brand quality that sets it apart from the competition.

Business Development and the commercial sides of the business occupy Grahame from day to day and he takes great delight in both offering a team that he knows can deliver projects and then hearing about their successes from delighted clients.

Grahame is a shareholder and co-founder of the Amiri Construction Team.

Experience

Grahame began his career as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor and quickly made his way through the management ranks, taking Directorial roles within regional offices of major contractors. His first Managing Directorship came at a tender age but he used the experience learned there to link up with Kevin Lendon, now his co-owner and Director of Amiri Construction, to establish a stunningly successful Southampton based contracting business. Following the sale of this business to a UK top ten group he decided that he would like to use his vision and ideals to create another, more dynamic contracting business and, with Kevin at his side, Amiri Construction was launched in 2005.

Grahame continues to strive for the perfect solution of a business that has enormous creative and delivery ability, with the feel of a family and yet the professionalism and comfort of a major contractor. The growth of the business, largely on negotiated and repeat work, suggests that he is on his way to having all clients and consultants enjoying the “Amiri Experience”. Excellent staff retention and some wonderful celebrations of the successes so far suggest that the Amiri team members appreciate the philosophy as well.

Grahame is always keen to meet new friends of the business and can often be found out and about doing exactly that!

Personal

Grahame lives in West Wittering with his wife and two young children. The whole family are committed water babies and are more often than not to be found either on the beach windsurfing or in a variety of boats.

When not chasing performance on the water he enjoys squash, fitness and watching motorsport and re-runs of Top Gear with his son.
