Responsibility

Vernon is an extremely experience manager having worked in most sectors in varying capacities over many years.

Having the site-engineering trade background and being keen on detail he is able to talk with the trades with practical and knowledgeable understanding. Vernon thrives on complex projects, along with the logistical management that is necessary in coordinating trades and materials, especially in fast track and, or confined space projects.

Vernon is equally able to co-ordinate the design and communicates well with the professional team.

Experience

Vernon has recently completed his second project with one of our key clients, the Store Property Group. This was the refurbishment and upgrading of an ageing office building in Winchester.

Vernon has excellent experience in the healthcare sector with many projects in both the primary and acute areas. His ability to manage schemes whilst ensuring that day to day running of surgeries, hospitals and care facilities continues without disruption has seen him successfully deliver projects as diverse as a new radiography suite at Queen Alexandra Hospital through to day-care, assisted living and high dependency care residential facilities for three different healthcare trusts.

Vernon is currently working on the £2.6m Design and Build of an Emmaus Community at Winchester where 23 en-suite rooms will be provided for previously homeless residents. There is also a workshop and retail unit where the companions learn life skills in order that they are rehabilitated into society. The scheme has excellent green credentials with ground improvement saving 40,000m2 of land-fill and a sedum roof being installed.

Personal

Vernon has 3 children and lives in Salisbury, Wilts. His hobbies include ski-ing and squash, along with support for Portsmouth Football Club!
